  • Round Rock will celebrate Preservation Month in May with a series of events showing our local history—starting with a Chuckwagon Dinner on May 2 from 6—8 p.m. at the Old Settlers Association, then Pioneer Day on May 3 from 10—3, a City Council proclamation on May 8 at 6, a Black History Tour on May 10 from 10—noon, a Lunch and Learn on May 13 from 12—1, an Exhibit Reception on May 15 from 4—6, a cemetery cleanup on May 17 from 9—noon, and monthlong art and antique exhibits at the Baca Center and Library.  City of Round Rock

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Round Rock ISD robotics teams from McNeil and Westwood High Schools ended their season with strong showings at tournaments. McNeil earned an 8-2 record and reached state finals while Westwood, after winning its regional title, placed 16th at the FIRST (World Championship) in Houston.  Round Rock Independent School District
