- ➤ Round Rock’s library is hosting a rotating exhibit featuring native fish from Brushy Creek on its 2nd floor window—formerly known as Rocksssanne—with minnows, shiners, sunfishes, Sailfin Mollies and a crayfish on loan. The exhibit is provided by The Aquarium Company— in partnership with Living Waters Fly Fishing and Texas Parks & Wildlife —and will run for the next few months. City of Round Rock
CRIME NEWS
- ➤ Round Rock police reported that on March 13 a neighbor stopped 30-year-old Joel Maske from abducting a 16-year-old on West Mesa Park Drive and on April 8 children escaped when masked men lured them with candy on East Mesa Park Drive—officials treat the cases separately while urging parents to discuss stranger safety. - ➤ Dr. Azaiez, the Round Rock ISD Superintendent, said more than 8,500 family volunteers helped our schools thrive this past week. He praised a Partners in Education Foundation Scholarship Reception that honored 48 students (earning over $136K) and PTA events (drawing over 15,600 volunteers and grant support for more than 55 campuses) that supported our classrooms.
