- ➤ The City of Round Rock Parks and Recreation Department hosted Lakeview Kickoff: A Stone in the Park on November 15 where Mayor Craig Morgan and city council cut the ribbon on the new Lakeview Pavilion - Stage at Old Settlers Park, featuring performances by DJ Hella Yella and Allen Stone and ending with a fireworks show over the lake. The enlarged pavilion nearly triples the size of its predecessor and adds modern restroom facilities as part of a multi-year public improvement project. City of Round Rock
BUSINESS NEWS
- ➤ Texas Advanced Computing Center, Dell Technologies, and NVIDIA are building Horizon, the largest academic supercomputer that will deliver 300 petaflops of performance in 2026 — ten times faster than its predecessor. The system will be partly assembled in Georgetown and housed in a Round Rock data center — supporting researchers with advanced computing capabilities for major challenges. CBS Austin

- ➤ The City of Round Rock celebrated the completion of a $17.5 million expansion of the Round Rock Sports Center on November 17, which added 25,000 square feet for new courts and seating—expanding the facility's capacity for large tournaments as part of a $274 million bond package approved in May 2023. This project will boost the center’s ability to host multiple sports events concurrently. City of Round Rock
- ➤ Operation Front Porch launched at the Round Rock Police Department on Nov. 17 to help residents safely receive holiday packages, which can be picked up for free until Dec. 19. Eligible residents must bring a government-issued ID with proof of order, and packages under 50 pounds must be collected within three days of delivery. FOX 7 Austin
