- ➤ A burn ban started Tuesday, Sept. 30 in Williamson County because severe drought has raised fire risks. Officials say the ban will last for 90 days or until conditions improve — they will check the drought and water supplies each week. FOX 7 Austin
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Drivers along I-35 in Round Rock saw newly installed memorial signage honoring fallen Officer Charles Whites—who died in 2018 after being struck by an impaired driver—with the signs coming from nearly four years of legislative efforts and funding. The Police Department is constructing a permanent memorial at its headquarters. City of Round Rock
