ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • A car fire on I-35 Northbound at Mile Marker 274 closed all lanes at Ronald Reagan Boulevard and caused heavy traffic around County Road 311 Tuesday morning—first responders urged drivers in Williamson County to plan alternate routes.  CBS Austin
  • Repair work started last Sunday on the State Highway 29 overpass after an 18-wheeler struck the bridge last week, causing lane closures and a multi-vehicle crash. TxDOT said repairs, which include replacing damaged beams, will take four to five weeks before eastbound lanes reopen — work is using existing contracts to fix the structure.  CBS Austin

  • State Rep. James Talarico announced Tuesday he is running for the U.S. Senate and held a rally at Centennial Plaza in Round Rock at 6:30 p.m.—he said his campaign would challenge the influence of wealthy donors.  CBS Austin

  • Kamari (14) battled serious illnesses and got her wish to celebrate her birthday at Disney World this summer, thanks to Make-A-Wish Central and South Texas. She now starts ninth grade with dreams for a career in health sciences (inspired by her strength).  CBS Austin
