Round Rock Parks and Recreation celebrated its 2026 All-American Team at the annual Awards Ceremony today — honoring staff for exceptional service.

🎓 Education
Round Rock and Manor ISDs launch tuition-free virtual high school programs that let students learn at home on flexible schedules (aimed at athletes and working teens).
The districts said about 200 students enrolled in Round Rock and expect Manor’s numbers to rise as families seek alternatives.
Texas State University welcomed students with enrollment near 47,000 and plans to open a $52.4 million lecture hall at the Round Rock campus soon.
The university is also preparing additional student housing and joined the Pac-12 conference to boost its national profile.

The Williamson County and Cities Health District confirmed its first human West Nile virus case in 2026, diagnosing an 80-something resident from southern county on Aug.
13. Official guidance urges residents to drain standing water and use EPA-approved repellent to reduce mosquito bites (mosquito samples have tested positive).
