Good morning, Round Rock.

Kody Lane Talley, a Williamson County man, was arrested on five counts of manslaughter on Monday for a July 25 crash — his 2018 Ram 4500 left its lane on U.S. 281 near Park Road 4 and struck multiple vehicles, causing five deaths — and he was booked into the Burnet County Jail.

City of Round Rock Parks and Rec team members were honored at the RRTX All-American Team Awards Ceremony (more than 30 honorees received awards).

Director Rick Atkins hosted the event while NFL player Eric Rowe spoke (delivering an inspiring message) to the crowd.

Round Rock Lifeguards won first place at the Texas Lifeguard Competition, earning championship titles for 2023, 2024, and 2025 — the first Round Rock team to win three consecutive state titles after competing against top teams from across Texas.
