GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ The Chisholm Trail South project will begin on Aug. 4, and over a four-week phase, southbound traffic between Sam Bass Road and Poker Alley will be detoured—vehicles cannot turn from Sam Bass onto Chisholm Trail. On-street parking will be unavailable in the work zone—parking remains open south of Poker Alley. City of Round Rock
- ➤ Round Rock City Council approved an engineering contract with HDR Engineering to design a new traffic signal at Chandler Road and Ed Schmidt Boulevard—covering drainage work and added right-turn lanes—in a growing area east of State Highway 130. Design work will finish by early 2026—with construction planned to follow soon after—so traffic improvements begin promptly. City of Round Rock
REAL ESTATE NEWS
- ➤ On July 10, Round Rock City Council approved updated plans for the Arte development—a mixed-residential project near South Mays and East Logan streets that now calls for up to 350 apartments and six townhomes instead of the earlier proposal. City staff will adjust access points to improve traffic flow and ensure the project meets TCEQ guidelines. City of Round Rock
