- ➤ A Williamson County jury convicted Barry Deshawn White, 47, of cocaine possession with intent to deliver after police saw him making hand-to-hand deals following an anonymous Crime Stoppers tip in November 2024—he was sentenced to 43 years in prison. CBS Austin
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ City Council approved a $4.8 million contract with Millis Development and Construction yesterday to improve the downtown water tower park by creating a lawn, seating areas, a food truck parking area, and updating the historic Johnson Building (which will include decorative gas pumps and sculptures that honor local history, as well as a memorial plaza for William Koughan). Construction will begin in September and is expected to last nine months while also addressing repairs to the water tower lighting damaged by monk parakeets. City of Round Rock
