Good morning, Round Rock.
🏛️ Government
Gov. Abbott today ordered the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department and the Texas Animal Health Commission to form a New World Screwworm Response Team to protect local livestock and wildlife from the parasite coming north from Mexico.
The team will work on prevention measures and boost sterile fly production as officials warn that the screwworm could soon disrupt local weekend barbecues (Congressman Gonzales noted residents may soon learn the impact).
