- ➤ Governor Greg Abbott signed House Bill 1481 that will ban personal devices from classrooms starting next school year—districts have 90 days to adopt policies as some Round Rock parents express concerns over emergency communication and student mental health. CBS Austin

- ➤ The City of Round Rock reminds residents that fireworks are illegal and that possessing them is a Class A misdemeanor carrying fines up to $2,000. Residents can turn in fireworks to the Inspection Division and report illegal use—professional displays are exempt from this rule. City of Round Rock
- ➤ First responders urged residents to follow firework safety tips and check local laws as Fourth of July firework sales began this week.
