Good morning, Round Rock.

Round Rock ISD was named one of the Best Communities for Music Education for the fifth time— the NAMM Foundation awarded the district for its strong programs in band, choir, orchestra, and general music instruction.

The recognition highlighted careful reviews of funding, facilities, and community support— a sign of the music educators’ dedication.

On June 2, the Williamson County Sheriff's Office helped a stranded owl when Deputy Seely transferred the bird to a licensed falconer for rehabilitation—demonstrating the department’s commitment to all community members.

Officials warn that the extreme heat expected in June can be very dangerous for outdoor workers as temperatures may hit 90° or more with triple-digit heat arriving Sunday — OSHA noted many outdoor fatalities occur in the early days of high temperatures and TxDOT advised road crews to stay hydrated and take breaks. These safety measures are crucial for anyone working in the heat.
