- ➤ Round Rock pools will open for Memorial Day weekend with Rock'N River Water Park open from noon to 6 p.m. between May 23 and 26, Micki Krebsbach Pool from 1 to 6 p.m. between May 23 and 26, and Lake Creek Pool open from 1 to 5 p.m. from May 24 to 26; summer hours will follow later in the week, and the city asks drivers to allow extra time due to detours on Heritage Crossing — a new roadway connecting Kenney Fort Blvd and Harrell Parkway — from ongoing construction. - ➤ On May 7, Round Rock Public Library received the People First Award from Tech Logic Corporation for its commitment to serve as a community center—its new downtown facility opened two years ago to meet the growing needs of local residents. - ➤ City offices including the public library, Clay Madsen Recreation Center, Municipal Court, Baca Center and utility billing office will be closed Monday, May 26 for Memorial Day—trash and recycling will operate on schedule and online payments remain available. The City and Round Rock Veteran’s Coalition invite residents to a Memorial Day ceremony at Yonder’s Point Flag Plaza from 10 a.m. to noon while local pools and water parks will open this weekend with special holiday hours.
