Good morning, Round Rock.

A 26-year-old man from Manor, Darius Sebastian Hatcher, was arrested May 14 in Round Rock for capital murder charges after he shot two men during a custody exchange at an East Austin apartment complex on April 20 — the victims, Shamar Roach, 24, and Kendrick Parker, 32, were pronounced dead at the scene.

On Mother's Day, a Cedar Park break-in stole $17K in equipment from local business owner Nathalie Sterling—whose expansion to a permanent Round Rock location now faces delays as police search for a suspect.

Round Rock ISD will offer summer programs—ranging from academic support to fun enrichment events—for students after the school year ends.

Many programs include meals and bus transportation, with options like pop-up libraries, festivals and camps available for all grade levels.

Throughout the summer, Round Rock ISD high schools will offer summer melt counselors (special advisors) to help recent graduates plan for college or work.

Graduates will be able to email their assigned counselors to get help with applications, financial aid, and registration.
