EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Round Rock ISD student artists earned statewide top honors at three art competitions hosted by the Texas Art Education Association (TEAM was held April 12, VASE on April 26, and the Junior VASE event recognized records of excellence). Many winners received high ratings—including Gold Seal and Platinum awards—and their artwork will soon be shown online and at exhibition venues across Texas. Round Rock Independent School District
- ➤ Round Rock ISD is training staff and students in CPR and Stop the Bleed techniques — with 103 staff trained and 162 certified — to help keep schools safe. The district will begin a safety audit in August — a plan developed with experts — and the Safety and Security Committee meets at the Old Hopewell Building on scheduled dates.
