  • House lawmakers tabled an amendment that would have placed a school voucher vote on the November ballot—Rep. Talarico said the measure came amid claims of pressure from Governor Abbott.   • State and local agencies in central Texas are launching campaigns to reduce work zone traffic deaths. TxDOT is promoting the Be Safe, Drive Smart campaign while Kyle Police are starting Campaign 70 to encourage safe driving on the I-35 corridor—an area hit by 215 work zone fatalities statewide last year.  CBS Austin
