  • Williamson County officials sentenced Marek Dillard to 30 years in prison for the overdose death of 22-year-old Remington Allison in Leander in September 2023—marking the county’s first murder conviction under Texas's fentanyl law.  CBS Austin

  • The Spring Round Rock PopUp Art Show series begins today at Prete Plaza in Downtown Round Rock from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. The event features local artists, free parking at the City Hall Parking Garage, food from Smokey Mo's BBQ, and additional dates on April 26, May 17, and June 28.  City of Round Rock

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Dr. Azaiez said on March 28th that Round Rock ISD celebrated Women's History Month by recognizing local women educators and highlighting the legacy of facilities named in their honor—such as schools bearing their names. He explained Bond 2024 will fund the maintenance and improvements of these spaces so future students can learn in enhanced environments.  Round Rock Independent School District
